Student Disclosure Information

Graduation Rates
The Student Right-to-Know Act requires schools to disclose graduation rates of certificate- or degree-seeking, full-time, first-time undergraduate students. These are students who have not attended post-secondary education courses before and who are attending school on a full-time basis. Edmonton University programs are currently focused on students attending on a full-time basis; however, in the past, Edmonton University's programs were primarily directed to students attending school on a part-time basis, most of whom had previously taken courses at another institution.
Therefore, the cohort of students who meet the definition of full-time, first-time undergraduate students is very small.
Associate Degrees
There were 46 students who started associate degree programs between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2006. Of these students, 35 were less than full-time and 10 had transfer credit from a previous institution. Therefore, in the student cohort completing between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009 only one student was a "first-time, full-time" student. This student graduated within the 150% completion time.
Bachelor Degrees
There were 208 students who started bachelor degree programs between September 1, 2002 and August 31, 2003 (after subtracting non-degree seeking students). Of these students, 40 were less than full-time and 164 were less than full-time and/or had transfer credit from a previous institution. Therefore, in the student cohort completing between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009 only four students were "first-time, full-time" students. Two of these students graduated within the 150% completion time, and the other two withdrew from the institution for a 50% graduation rate in this very small sample.

Student Body Diversity
Edmonton University has catered to a diverse set of students which has been further diversified with the inception of online courses in 2008. The majority of the institution's students live in or around the Greater Washington DC area, with 26% of students residing in the District of Columbia and 33% and 17% living in Maryland and Virginia respectively. Compared with the percentage of students living outside of the Great Washington DC area in 2009 (17%), Potomac College has further diversified its student body across the nation.
About half of Edmonton University students are between 30-50 years old. The student age distribution is consistent with the goal of Edmonton University, which is to serve working adult students. The gender distribution conforms to the national average with 58% of students as female. In terms of student ethnicity, 65% of Potomac students are "Black, Non-Hispanic", and 18% of the students are "White". Meanwhile, "Hispanics" and "Asian" make up 4% and 2% of student body respectively.
While somewhat diverse, this mix does not reflect the area served and Potomac seeks to attract more Hispanic and Asian students
